Due to Lon Retreat & Spa's temporary closure due to COVID-19, we have an overflow of native flowers from our farm that our guests would usually enjoy. We decided that we would like to give these flowers to some deserving humans within our community, so invited our followers on Instagram and Facebook to nominate a person or business on the Bellarine Peninsula that they love a bunch & would like a contactless delivery of farm flowers to their doorstep.
From health-care workers, elderly, vulnerable, alone or just someone doing it tough... the nominations have flooded in! We have been delivering around 4-5 farm bunches per week to places like Bellarine Community Health and to local legends like a local medical student volunteering to drop off prescriptions to elderly residents & visiting those who may require free medical checks or mental health support with his pet therapy dog Ralphy. We sure are a lucky bunch to live in this fabulous community.
