Jane Flowers is an award-winning Australian artist who specialises in dramatic through meditative, oils on canvas of wind and water, sea and sky.
Award winning artist Jane Flowers has lived and breathed the delights of Queenscliff / Point Lonsdale and the Bellarine for many years.
She sea changed to Queenscliff after Melbourne careers in teaching, advertising and graphic design and became a professional artist.
A keen sailor, diver and beachcomber, Jane is passionate about encouraging others to see the beauty in nature and the wonder in the world around us.
Her dramatic yet meditative land and seascapes essentially bring the outside in.
Jane has exhibited Australia wide. But loves to forage close to home.
POETRY is an ode to Lon - rolling expanses of views afforded but also vignettes – small moments in time and space, drawing on my well-honed artist eye.
Any visit to Lon encourages you to be present – to look, listen, inhale, drift… to absolutely come to your senses… to embrace quintessence.
Jane relished the opportunity to immerse herself in the Lon environment over many visits for this her second stint at artist in residence, with deep felt thanks to Claire, Rob and the team.

Jane’s exhibition will also feature several works by Tasmanian timber sculptor Ned Trewartha. Ned is passionate about the sustainable use of Tasmanian timbers and believes they are unique and precious and should be treated with great respect. He carefully selects for each individual project to minimise waste. His small sculptures are made out of offcuts collected over many years.
Exhibition is open daily from Friday 31st May and closes Sunday 21st July.
